The Seaton Tramway is a unique heritage attraction that transports you back in time as you travel through the stunning Axe Valley. Operating on the old Seaton Branch line, this charming narrow-gauge electric tramway operates between Seaton, Colyford, and Colyton.

Enjoy light refreshments in the charming setting of our tram-themed café at Seaton Station, where you can relax and watch the trams arrive and depart. You can also take your refreshments onboard as you travel along the scenic route, passing through wetlands, estuary, and woodlands, making your journey even more enjoyable.

How to redeem


Once you receive your redemption offer via email, book in advance online at Seaton Tramway.

Add an Adult Explorer and Child Explorer Ticket to your basket, and then enter the code provided at checkout to get 100% off the child ticket.

During the checkout process, be sure to enter the code provided to receive your free child ticket offer.

How to Find Us


Seaton Tramway’s main station is located at Seaton (EX12 2WD), easily accessible from the A3052. The Underfleet Council Car PArk is the nearest Car Park in Seaton.
Free car parking is available at Colyton Station.

By Train: The nearest mainline train stations are at Axminster and Honiton, with regular bus services connecting to Seaton.

By Bus: Frequent bus services operate to Seaton from Exeter (X52), Axminster (9A), and Honiton (885).

About Us


Seaton Tramway began operations in 1970, providing a memorable experience for visitors as they travel along the 3-mile route between Seaton and Colyton. Nestled within the heart of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the tramway follows the picturesque Axe Valley, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding landscapes.

 

Explore Colyton Station. The Station was part of the original railway branch line, which connected Seaton & Colyton to Exeter and London Waterloo.

1. Seaton Station

  • Based 1 street back from Seaton's famous pebble beach, this is where you can start your journey. The new station building was opened in 2018

2. Riverside Halt

  • Opened in 2022, this new stop offers fantastic views of the Riveraxe, its wading birdlife, and of course a unique perspective of Riverside Depot

3. Seaton Wetlands Halt

  • Opened in 2022, this new stop offers access to the award-winning Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve. Boasting 4km of country walks as well as access to bird hides throughout, this is a great place to stop for some fresh air!

4. Colyford

  • Stop here for a small walk into Colyford. This is where the tramway crosses the A3052. Make sure to wave to the cars as you cross!

5. Colyton

  • Home to Colyton Station. Reopened as part of the tramway in 1980, this Station is home to our Tramstop Café. Offering hot and cold meals all day. From here you can take a 10-minute walk and Explore the quaint village, known as "Devon’s Most Rebellious Town," and enjoy the local shops and eateries.
